Boeing Machinist Demands - A Successfull Strike?

Employees are working hard for the betterment of a company and their own lives thus it is just justifiable if they get what they truly deserved. This is what the sentiments of the machinists working on Boeing, the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) did. The four day strike will soon came to a conclusion as Boeing made a tentative deal with them addressing issues regarding wage rates, health care benefits and more. Read the rest of this here:

Eco-Friendly Aviation Challenge

Student teams worldwide is invited to come up with ideas to shape and innovate the future of the aviation industry by the international competition "Fly Your Ideas" launch by Airbus. The objective of the competition is to create more value having less impact on the environment which will improve the sector's eco-efficiency.

The winning team that will demonstrate the greatest potential for improvement will be get €30,000.

According to Tom Enders, CEO/Pres. of Airbus, this competition will give opportunity to students to work with airbus and share fresh innovative ideas that will shape the future of aviation.

Monopolic Abuse

Ryanair, budget airline want to look into Air BP, which increased aviation fuel cost 10 times the cost of inflation at Belfast City and Glasgow's Prestwick airport an unjust increase by 50pc at a times of aviation industry crisis.

The Director of legal and regulatory affairs at Ryanair describes the situation as "blatant abuse of a monopoly position".

Oil prices have already fallen to less than $70 a barrel from the record high of more than $140 last July this year but this reduction has not yet been passed to airline consumer at the Irish and Scottish airports according to Ryanair.

India's two largest carriers forge a deal

In the midst of an aviation slump, the two largest airline carriers in India have pushed a deal that is said to bring their operating costs down--but this may mean the death of the country's budget airline industry.

Now, the government will possibly investigate into this deal and decide if this will result to a formation of a cartel.

Fosset Plane Wreckage

A small amount of human remains has been found by the search team in the plane wreckage of Steve Fosset in Sierra Nevada near Mammoth lakes.

Hikers found clothes, cash and IDs with Fosset's name that lead to an aerial search where they found the wreckage a quarter mile away.

Fosset was seen last September 3, 2007 when he took off from his Flying-M Ranch outside Minden, Nevada.
